Quality and tradition: the Gallino’s family in the Roero winegrowing landscape

A passion that it is handed down for generations

L’Azienda Agricola Filippo Gallino has been enriching the magnificent territory of Roero, Piedmont region, for several generations, producing quality wines. The business started more than 100 years ago thanks to figures dedicated to the production of quality wines in Roero. Among these Stefano Gallino, born in 1886, producer of wines such as Barbera and Nebbiolo. The agricultural activity passed from father to son, from Felice, known as Licin, to Filippo, born in 1939. Until it became a point of reference in the production of quality wines in the Roero (and beyond). The farm is constantly growing, dedicated to the production and promotion of the Roero wines and lands. In 1972 the Gallino winery relaunched one of the forgotten wines, Roero Arneis, contributing to its return to international markets. Over time the family has won important awards and a reputation as producers of high quality wines.

The dedication that builds history: the wonderful Gallino winery in the Roero

During the early 90s the Azienda Agricola Filippo Gallino, with the great support of family friend Matteo Correggia, also began to produce superior wines. A production deriving from the use of skilful techniques in the field of wine aging. It brings the Gallino farm further fame and recognition from renowned magazines in the sector. The Gallino winery growth continues over the years thanks to dedication and commitment of Filippo and Maria and their family. Filippo passes on his experience to his family, including his nephew Lorenzo, now manager of the green areas, to whom he has handed down the wonderful and difficult art of pruning. And his children, the winemaker Gianni, winery manager and Laura, curator of the administrative and marketing. In harmony and with passion, the Gallino family looks after the vineyards and select the grapes that give rise to the exceptional wines of their winery in the Roero.
