Freshness, tradition and fruity notes coexist in a harmonious balance giving life to Barbera d’Alba DOC. The Azienda Agricola Filippo Gallino produces it traditionally, highlighting its fruity nuances and softness. Wine inherent in the Slow Wine “Vino Quotidiano” award which, quoting the Gallino grandparents “is good from breakfast to dinner”, being combined with the whole meal

GRAPE VARIETY: Barbera d’Alba

PRODUCTION AREA: Roero, municipality of Canale

SOIL: Sandy calcareous, clayey of light color

HARVEST: End of september, exclusively by hand

CULTIVATION: Traditional guyot with 8/9 fruits per plant

YIELD PER HECTARE: 80 QT

VINIFICATION: Crushing and destemming of the grapes, maceration 7/10 days with manual pumping over, vinified and refined in steel tanks

MATURATION: Steel tanks

COLOUR: Intense ruby red, with violet reflections

BOUQUET: Fresh, fruity, plum, blackberries, violets, licorice

TASTE: Small red fruits, sapid, with a full, long, harmonious, warm sip. Persistent and juicy finish

PAIRINGS: Aperitifs, whole meal, cold cuts and traditional cheeses
